Equallto is a Coventry-based pay-as-you-go outsourcer with no commitment. Muckin sells monthly seats from Pretoria with UK review and sign-off.
We've described Equallto from its own public website as of August 2026; if anything here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
Equallto (styled equallto™) gives its address as the Techno Centre, Puma Way, Coventry. It describes itself as "expert accounting support for your firm on your terms". Services listed are accounts preparation (year-end accounts and financial statements), bookkeeping, payroll, management accounting, VAT returns, digital marketing ("grow your accounting practice and attract the right clients") and technology or tech-stack support.
Its model is the clearest thing on the site: "with pay-as-you-go, output-based pricing, you only pay for what you need", and "no-commitment", with "absolutely no long-term commitment". Actual prices are not published. We could not find a stated minimum term beyond the no-commitment promise. The site does not say where its delivery team sits; the pages we read do not describe an offshore team, nor do they say the work is done in the UK. We could not find a published review or sign-off statement, and no certifications are listed on the pages we read. Their site: equallto.com.
We sell seats. A seat is a named person, full, half or part time, who does your work every month from our own office in Pretoria, one to two hours ahead of the UK. Production seats do bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, admin and content. Accounts seats do year-end, CT600, self assessment and management accounts. Senior seats are qualified accountants from £3,400 a month. All of it is in your software, under their own logins, white-label. See /how-it-works/.
Every job is reviewed and signed off in the UK before it reaches you and you remain the signatory. Seats are rolling monthly, one month's notice. The prices are public. Content, which Equallto sells as digital marketing, is something we do inside Production-seat hours: a monthly guide, a newsletter, site updates, social posts, written by the same team that does your VAT. There is no separate price, and we are not an agency. Read /what-we-do/marketing/ for what that covers.

Pick Equallto if you want to pay per job and nothing else. For a practice with fifty sets of accounts a year and no regular bookkeeping, output pricing is the right shape: you pay for the accounts and you are done. It is also the lower-risk way to try outsourcing for the first time, because the first job is the whole commitment. If you want a UK-based supplier you can phone in Coventry and a marketing service under the same roof, Equallto lists both.
Pick Muckin if you have recurring work: monthly bookkeeping, quarterly VAT, weekly or monthly payroll, a steady flow of year-ends. Output pricing on steady work adds up to a bigger number than a seat, in our experience, and it gives you a different person each time. A part-time Production seat is £650 a month for 40 hours; the offshore market rate for a VAT return is £25–60 a time and for small limited company accounts £120–300 a set, which is what we see in the market, so run your own numbers through the capacity calculator and see which way it falls for your practice.
We would also ask Equallto where the work is done and who reviews it before it comes back. Their site does not say, and it is a fair question to put to anyone, including us.
Size the work on the capacity calculator, read /pricing/, and contact us.
Its site describes pay-as-you-go, output-based pricing with no long-term commitment. Rates are not published. Muckin prices per monthly seat and publishes every seat price.
Its address is in Coventry. The pages we read do not say where the delivery team sits. Muckin's team is in our own office in Pretoria, South Africa.
It depends on your work. Per-output pricing suits irregular, one-off jobs. A seat suits steady recurring work. Use the capacity calculator to compare for your own practice.
