Estimates use typical practice benchmarks: 5 hours per year-end job, 2 hours per self assessment return, 3 hours per bookkeeping client a month, 1.5 hours per VAT return and 15 minutes per employee a month. Each role is a separate seat of 160, 80 or 40 hours, and every seat after the first is 10% off. Marketing is a 40-hour seat. The hiring figure uses UK salaries of £30,000 for bookkeeping, payroll, admin and marketing and £36,000 for accounts, multiplied by 1.35 for employer's NI, pension, software and recruitment. Your real numbers will differ, and the call is where we check them.
