Muckin vs TOA Global

• TOA Global is a large Philippines-based talent provider, 4,000-plus staff, serving accounting firms mainly in North America, Australia and New Zealand. Its site does not present a UK service.
• Muckin is built for UK practices: a named team in our own Pretoria office, monthly seats, UK review and sign-off, rolling monthly.
• TOA Global is quote-only with no published minimum term; Muckin publishes every seat price on /pricing/.

What TOA Global says it does

TOA Global describes itself as "the preferred accounting outsourcing talent solution", "celebrating 10+ years", with "4,232+ elite team members" and more than a thousand client firms. Its people work from its own facilities in the Philippines, with offices it lists in Manila, Clark, Tarlac and Cebu, and onshore offices in Australia, New Zealand and North America. It provides dedicated accountants, auditors, bookkeepers and executive assistants, and runs its own training arm, the Ab² Institute of Accounting.

The model is dedicated, full-time team members who become part of your firm, rather than per-job work. The site's services are framed around US tax (IRS, US standards) and Australian and New Zealand practice; we could not find a UK-specific service page. Prices are not published and we could not find a stated minimum term. The site does not describe a review or sign-off process in the way a per-job outsourcer would, which fits its model: the staff are yours to supervise. It lists a Great Place to Work badge and a SOC logo. Marketing or content services are not listed. Their site: toaglobal.com.

What Muckin does

We are a small version of the same idea, aimed at UK practices and with one big difference: review. You take seats, each a named person in our own Pretoria office. Production seats do bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, admin and content. Accounts seats do year-end, CT600, self assessment and management accounts. Unlike a pure staffing model, every job is reviewed and signed off in the UK before it reaches you. You are not supervising a remote employee on your own; there is a UK accountant between the work and your inbox, and you remain the signatory. Pretoria is one to two hours ahead of the UK all year, which matters for a UK practice in a way a Manila desk eight hours ahead does not. Seats are rolling monthly and every price is on the site. Content fills Production-seat hours; there is no separate price.

Who should pick which

Pick TOA Global if you are a US, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand firm, or a UK firm with an Australian arm, and you want to build a whole offshore department with its own training pipeline. At their scale they can recruit, train and replace people in a way a small provider cannot, and their in-house institute is a genuine asset. For a 20-seat department, that is the kind of supplier you need.

Pick Muckin if you are a UK practice wanting two to five people, not twenty, working your hours, on UK compliance, with a UK reviewer checking every job. We know UK year-end, CT600, VAT and RTI payroll because that is all we do. We do not train US tax preparers and we do not want to. We are also honest that if you are after Philippine staff specifically, because of English fluency or an existing team there, we are not that. We are South African, in Pretoria, and our people are SAIPA and SAICA trained.
